Meet Our Staff

Our directors and teachers are certified through the Department of Early Education and Care and are encouraged to hold a Bachelor’s Degree and pursue higher education such as a Master’s Degree. The teachers are experienced in guiding children through fun, hands-on learning experiences while supporting them through transitions as they grow.

Nicole Caldwell, affectionately known as Ms. Nicki, graduated from Eastern Nazarene College in 1992 with a BS in Elementary Education and a minor in Psychology. She also received her Master’s in Special Education in 2018 from ENC. Ms. Nicki spent six years teaching 2nd grade, as well as, coaching soccer, basketball, and softball high school sports. During the summers she directed an Exceptional Program for Special Needs children. Following that time, she was blessed to take ten years off while she raised her four wonderful children; Samantha, Jessica, Ashley, and Nathan. She became the CKH Director in 2010. Ms. Nicki has lived in Quincy with her husband, Kipp (ENC class of 93), since 1994. In Nicki’s spare time she enjoys spending time with her friends, family, and her dog Rizzo, being outdoors, loves animals, watching her children play sports and cheering for NE sports teams!
Ms. Sherrie Burt

Ms. Sherrie has spent her career in education, switching from Higher Ed to Preschool in December 2024 when she joined the CKH Staff. Although her 35 years of teaching were at the college level, she has always been involved in working with children in some capacity – from Pediatrics at Harvard Community, to YMCA Summer Camp to leading Children’s Ministries at her church and volunteering at many school events. A lifelong Quincy resident, she lives in the Wollaston area with her husband and enjoys spending time with her children and grandson. She also loves reading, traveling, playing with her dogs, cheering for the Red Sox and anything coffee-related.

Owls Teacher: K Prep, ages 4+-5

Ms. Cindy has been teaching for 20 years, joining the CKH family in 2024. Her favorite thing about being a teacher is how excited a child gets when they accomplish or understand something they have been working on or trying to learn. She states that “the sheer joy and excitement is worth every moment!” Ms. Cindy has three children and three granddaughters who mean the world to her. She is a lover of animals, especially her dog Fenway Bark and her three cats George Bailey, Zuzu and Charlie. When not at school she loves being at the ocean anytime of year, hiking and cheering for the Red sox and Bruins.

Penguins Teacher: Pre-K II, age 4

Ms. Eloraine has been a Lead Teacher at CKH since 2024. She has been teaching children for over 20 years and has a degree in Early Childhood Education. Her favorite part of being in the classroom is getting the children to sing & dance and she especially appreciates parent involvement. Originally from Jamaica, she now resides in Randolph. She is a devoted Christian and loves to spend time with her two children and grandson. Her favorite drink in hot chocolate!

Squirrels Teacher: K Prep, ages 4 +-5

Ms. Kari has been the teacher in the Squirrels class at CKH since February 2025. She has been working in childcare since 1998 making it 28 years this month! She has worked with all age groups, from Infants to 12 years old. Ms. Kari always wanted to be a teacher, even as a young child her favorite thing to play with her sister was “school”. A lifelong Quincy resident, she currently resides in Hough’s Neck with her 14-yr old son John. Her favorite things to do are to hang out with family and friends and watch her son play football for Quincy United! Football is their life! Ms. Kari states “I’m so happy to have found my new CKH family, everyone is the BEST!!!”

Frogs Teacher: K Prep/K, ages 5-6

Ms. Leni is originally from Los Angeles, but is very happy to have made CKH her new home in 2024! She is a Licensed Behavioral Analyst Interventionist with a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Development and certification in Social Emotional Learning and Teaching. Ms. Leni has taught K-12th grade in private, public and Montessori schools and is also a private tutor at TLC Tutoring online where she helps students with reading, math and literacy. Her goal is to help children recognize their gifts, discover their strengths, and find joy in learning. She is currently training to become a Nationally Certified STEM educator. Ms. Leni states that she is “passtionate about helping children reach their fullest potential both academically and emotionally!”

Ms. Wanda Cody

Ladybugs Teacher: Pre-K I, ages 3+

Ms. Wanda has been teaching for 39 years and has been at CKH since 2021. With a degree from Urban College, she has a teaching license and an Early Childhood Education teacher certificate for infant, toddler and preschool ages. Ms. Wanda states that she loves teaching because it’s the best job in the world and children are the future. “They give me so much joy and happiness Monday through Friday. I love being an educator and helping children learn and grow”. When not in school she loves spending time with her family including her daughter and granddaughter who are her world. She also likes to go out to dinner and hang out with her family and friends.

Sea Buddies Teacher: Pre-K II, ages 3+-4

Ms. Janahasia received her Lead Teacher certification from a partner program with Fisher College. She has been teaching for 4 years, joinng the CKH family in August 2025. Ms. Janahasia has worked with various age groups from infants all the way to 4th grade. She has also explored different avenues of teaching such as play-based and Montessori-based early education. Her favorite thing about teaching preschool is the conversations that come about in the classroom. “There’s never a dull moment with preschoolers!” For fun Ms. Janahasia likes to take hikes and go on trails with her dog Tobias. She also enjoy singing and engaging in music in her down time.

Bears Teacher: Pre-K I, ages 2.9-3

Ms. Julie is an Eastern Nazarene College graduate who began teaching at Campus Kinder Haus in 2005. She holds both a B.A. and a M. Ed., and is certified in elementary education. Her years of prior teaching experience span from the high school level all the way down to preschool (her favorite by far). Ms. Julie loves teaching the children in her class! In her spare time, Ms. Julie enjoys reading, participating in triathlons, listening to music, and traveling.

Dinosaurs Teacher: Pre-K II, ages 4 - 5

Ms. Nicole is a Pre-K II teacher at CKH. She grew up in Quincy where she still resides with her husband John and their daughters Kylie and Hadley. She joined the CKH family in the spring of 2022 and has been working in the field of Early Education for over 17 years. Her experience ranges from infant care through early elementary school. When not in the classroom she enjoys spending time with family, going to the beach, and crafting.

Giraffes Teacher: Pre-K I, ages 2.9-3

Ms. Jennifer has been at CKH since 2021 and became the Lead Teacher for the Giraffes in 2022. She holds a teaching certificate and is currently pursuing her degree in Early Childhood Education. About teaching she states that, “I have always loved working with children and helping them learn and grow. Seeing the joy on their faces when they learn how to do something on their own, encouraging them to try even if they don’t succeed at first is why I enjoy teaching”. Ms. Jennifer is an avid Boston Sports fan and is also a member of the Lions Club of Quincy

Ms. Lexi Nashawaty

Elephants Teacher: Pre-K II, ages 4-5

Ms. Lexi graduated with her Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Eastern Nazarene College and is now pursuing her Master’s Degree. Her interest in children started in high school when she became a nanny. Shortly after starting college she found CKH, and after just a short time as an aide she fell in love with working with the kids and now feels so blessed to teach here! Ms. Lexi has been a Lead Teacher at CKH since 2017 in both Pre-K I & Pre-K II classes. When not working, Ms. Lexi loves to spend time with her family, playing with her dogs, going to the beach, drinking lots of coffee, and reading a good book!

Ms. Dernice Oliver

Ducks Teacher: Pre-K I, age 3

Ms. Dernice has been teaching for 12 years and joined the CKH family in September 2025. She states that she loves teaching “because I want to help shape the future. I get to teach our future doctors, lawyers, judges, and even possibly presidents, how cool is that? No day is ever the same, the children keep you on your toes! I love teaching them to question EVERYTHING.”  When not in school, Ms. Dernice really loves reading and creating art. She would love to write a book one day based off of her experiences in the classroom. She has a son who keeps her on her busy and she wants parents to know that she will treat your children just as if they were her own. “It takes a village and I will forever be a part of yours!”
